How We Met
We first laid eyes on each other while Morgan was documenting the ala loa (ancient long trail) and Nick was scampering around engineering at his office at the Natural Energy Lab of Hawaii. We ran into eachother a few times around Kona town and realized we had a large group of mutual friends and connected over shared interests. Nick eventually got Morgan's number (texted the wrong number first), but it worked out in the end. When Nick realized his mistake a week later, he took Morgan out deep sea fishing on his boat, The Dry Spell, for our first date.

Our Relationship
We moved in together two years ago in the cloud forest of Kaloko Mauka, the upland region of North Kona. We stay busy maintaining this unique ecosystem and working toward our sustainable homestead. We added Amigo, our spotted dachshund, to our little ohana. We live by the motto hunting, fishing, and loving everyday.

The Engagement
In a surprising turn of events Nick took an unannounced (to Morgan) day off to surprise her with a "fishing trip". Nick ran the same route we went on our first date; troll the thousand and rip into the scenic Kealakekua Bay. Morgan jumped in the water to cool off and when she hopped back on board, Nick dropped the knee. Needless to say we didn't catch any fish but Nick got Morgan hook line and sinker.
